Victoria Falls, Rest Day

After a leisurely breakfast in the Jungle Junction Restaurant, we walked down to the Lookout Cafe where we had a good view of the gorge and the people ziplining.

Paying another $US30 each to enter the Victoria Falls National Park, we spent the next two hours wandering around the 14 viewpoints to the falls. This was certainly a different perspective from the view from the helicopter. Lots of rushing water, spray and mist. It is very hot today so a bit of spray now and again was a relief.

Zambian side...people sitting in the Devil's Pools

Back at the hotel three warthogs were enjoying the freshly watered lawn. They are interesting to watch as they often kneel down on their front knees to get closer to the grass.

In the grounds there is also a large colony of mongeese, with their striped backs which makes them look like armadillos.

In the afternoon we had High Tea, sandwiches, slices and macaroons.
